Q. Why was the name Hazrat Bilal chosen?

A.  In Ramadhan 2006 a consultation was held with the local Muslim community to come up with a name for the new Masjid site. The name chosen was Hazrat Bilal  رضي الله عنه, who was a famous companion of the prophet Muhammad ﷺ  (Peace and Blessing be upon Him).
